Glass replacement
I have a curb side window on my 79 Argosy that has 2 cracks in it and I want to get it replaced. I think it must be made of plexi glass or something other than glass. My intentions were to remove the whole window and take it to a glass repair store and let them put the new window glass in. The window opens and has 2 rivets at the top. It also has the little rain gutter which runs around the top and about 3 to 4 inches down each side of the window. Can anyone tell me how to remove the window? I searched window repair and found nothing that would help me.

removes fairly easily (like your side compartment doors). Unscrew the side arms that push the window up/out. From standing on a ladder, swing the window up higher until it unlatches from the top. Be careful not to bend the "hinges", as it makes installation much harder. Have someone handy to catch it if you should drop it!
That's it! I don't know how to get the window out of the frame though.

That easy?!!! I will try it tomorrow. If I get the window to the glass place, they can take it out of the frame.

with what did you replace the old glas? Was it possible to put new glas in? I always thought it would be too hard due to the slight curve in the windowframe...

Bjoern,
IIRC mtnman has a Minuet which has the plexiglass windows in it to reduce weight. That stuff will bend in a curve. If you have the glass like we do get ready to spend the big bucks for replacement windows. Or stuff a piece of scratch resistant Lexan in.
