Front Window Rock Guard Fit

I found while washing my AS (2014 25 FB) yesterday that the front window guards (curved ones that protect the front two corner windows) do not fit flush against the body. Even though there is a rubber gasket on the inside of the front window guards that would lead you to believe they should fit snug to keep water out, in fact they only fits snug (against the body) on the bottom portion. The effect of this is that water is allow to come in the gap through the top of the window guard and then is trapped behind the window guard at the bottom of the window (where the guard fits snug).

We had a leak in our front right and left window in the first year of ownership and I think now that it was because water was (still is) pooling behind this window guard and after some time the pool of water finds a weak place in the caulking around the windows. We do not have any leaks now (fixed by dealer) but this window guard design (or how it is set up on our rig) is just bound to be a source of a leak in the future?

Has anyone notice the front window rock guards fitting (or not fitting) similarly on their AS and done anything about it? Can this window rock guard be adjusted to fit snug to the body?

Thanks in advance for any advice you might have.

In neither of the Airstreams we owned (2011 and 2015) did the gaskets of the curved plexiglass guards seal against the trailer body - there were fairly significant gaps around the perimeters. Joe
