corner window replacement

Well, we just got back from a great stay at the beach, and noticed about an hour into our ride home that the left front window on our 74 overlander looked shattered. We were hoping it was the reflection on the old tinting, but it was broken. !!! Any advice on replacement and purchase info? Where, and how? I will try Colaw's later this morning and then go on from there. Thanks for any info.

Do you have the twin pane windows? If so and only one pane broke all you really need to do is clean up the broken glass. The single pane is what you will get for a replacement and what you have will serve you for many years.
Good luck to you.

front corner window replacement

Hi! I may have posted to a wrong thread, so will post again. Our window on our 74 Overlander shattered on the drive home from a trip. We have no shield, so we are not sure if it were a rock or just impact of travel. Anyone have experience in replacing them, and where I might find one or what I should/ could do? I will try Colaw's later today. Thanks!

Hmmm. Thanks! It was dark when we got in and I didn't look from the inside. The outside was bad enough! My fingers are crossed that only one shattered. It is a double paned thermal.

Broken corner window

If you have no luck at Colaws let me know. I have access to some windows....only for those who need them....not resellers.

Thank you! It seems to be only the outside. I am going back later to finish the cleanup and then plan to get the broken glass out. Hopefully that will go smoothly.

I would replace the window if the outer is broken, you would have a hard time trying to get a good seal. Removing the inner pane when the seal between the two pieces of glass fail is a different story (at least to my knowlege). If you check with www.out-of-doorsmart.com they often have NOS or salvaged glass, they also have single pane replacements.
