Fogged windows

I just got a 1976 excella. It seems the windows are double Payned. Any ideas on how to remove and clean the inside of them? Any help is appreciated. Can it be done from the inside of the unit. Or do I have to remove the entire window?

When the seal is broke on a double pane glass there is a procedure you can use to suck out the air. It may or may not work. You have to drill a small hole and then suck the air out, and seal the hole. And there is the potential for breaking the glass. You can find out how to do it if you search on the internet. I believe they do make kits for this. I know because I had a seal break on my house window and looked up how to fix it. If you can’t do that then you have to replace the window.

Since I was in the middle of selling the house I chose not to fix it. I was going to take the window out and take it to a professional to replace the glass. But it was winter and well that just doesn’t work real well.

I would try to fix it with a kit first.

P.S. You also have to find the broken seal spot and repair it.

Do a search on "Dual pane windw repair" on this site and you will have enough reading to keep you busy for a week. Many of us here have done this and there are many articles with pictures to help you with this problem. Not an easy project, but doable!
