Question Egress (Escape) Windows

When (if ever) did Airstream Travel Trailers first use egress windows?

I know that in the 1970's mobile homes were required to have such escape windows in the bedrooms.
Seems that the same law would have applied to the RV world. But apparently not.
Egress windows at one time had red painted mechanisms that either removed the sash completely or allowed it to swing open enough for the exit of an adult.

BTW I can't decide whether window questions are interior or exterior related , but egress must I presume happen from within...hence my placement on the interior forum.

Don't know when

My understanding is that two means of exit are required.

I don't know when they started, but all current Airstreams have an escape window. On mine, it's over the dinette. The locking levers are painted red and there is a pull tab that pulls out the rubber around the screen so that the screen falls off.

My old Scamp 5th-wheel had an estra large vent cover in the loft area as their escape portal. It was a heck of a long way down to the ground, but I guess it filled the legal definition.

Egress (Escape) Windows

The one curious thing that I have encountered was in observing the Argosy Minuets. I have seen photos of two 22-foot Minuets (both 1977) and they had marked egress windows in the rear bath - - my 1978 20-foot Minuet does not have any specifically marked egress window - - I wonder if it may have something to do with the proximity of the sleeping area to the main door - - in my case immediately opposite the entry door.
