Dreaded no-seeums

I don't see this problem addressed, so I will bring it up. We just returned from a marvelous trip to Canyonlands, Utah. The abundance of water this year resulted in bonus bugs. One species is the dreaded no-seeums, that we found could easily come through the stock screening on our Sport 16.

Anybody out there address this issue? I think that I either need to rescreen with a backpack tent like screen, or do a velcro mounted addition to my windows.

Just returned from 2 weeks in Quebec, Maine, and New Hampshire and met all the local bugs. So, I was about to order some of the Gore inLighten screen for our trailer but just found out it has been discontinued. It was a finer mesh.

Did more research and the screen to stop No-see-ums is called 20 x 20. Here is one source I found:
http://www.qualitywindowscreen.com/s...-c-65_131.html

Now to find someone who has a smaller roll since I figure 4 side windows plus the back and front windows plus the door is only about 40 sq ft.

You could always split the cost and send Spot the second half of the roll

Home Depot has fiberglass no seeum screen . If its not in stock in the store they will order it for you. I'm thinking about switching my screens to it .

sure feel ums

first thing to do is turn off any interior lights. they will stop entering as they seem to be attracted to the light. I would bet tent type no see um screen would cut off too much ventilation.

Of course if you have an air conditioner then closing the windows will keep them out.

they are very unpleasant creatures. good luck.

Oh no!! No-seeums!! They are the worst!!!

They come through and around the little screens on the Interstate and chew us to death!

Good luck.

maybe grab the most obnoxious camper in the area and tie him to a tree off at a distance as a sacrificial goat to draw them away from the rest of the group....

oh....wait......that would be me.....

DW claims beer atracts mosquitos to me, so it must be the wine she drinks that noseeum are atractted to. They never get their fill and switch to me in the night.

Fans work if you can get enough breeze to blow them away.
Skin so soft by avon was the best product to put on, they couldn't get a foothold and bite, like greasing a pole for squirrels.
