Broken Window Installation

The window to the right of the entry door was the only one not original when I purchased my '67 Safari. It had been broken some time in the past and replaced with Plexiglass. One week ago,it broke in half while in a partially opened position.I understand that replacement of these curved side wondiws with glass is extremely expensive.I have found a local glass shop that will replace it with Lexan. My question has to do with the installation......the installer looked at it and thinks it just needs a bead of silicone in the window track it will slide into .That does not seem like enough to hold it in place to me.

Anyone familiar with the '67 Corning winows and frames please advise the best way to install.Hate to see this possibly screwed up!

Char. Lexan will not conform to the contour of the trailer. We use Acrylite AR-2. It will conform AND you can scrub it with steel wool, and NOT scratch it. Lexan easily scratches. We have sold hundreds of them. Additionally, we now have the metal moldings that surround the window, just like the 68's used. These also fit the 66 and 67's.

Andy,

The top "vista window" to the right of the door on my 73, 23ft. Safari has a gray rubber gasket around the glass that is broken and loose around the bottom. I am afraid that I will get water leaking into the wall. Do you have new replacement gasket? Also do I have to drill out all the frame rivets and remove the window to replace the gasket?

Thanks,
Larry
