Broken window

We have our 22 foot Bambi Sport stored outside. Found the sleeping area window on the entry side of the trailer shattered. Does this need to be repaired by Airstream dealer? In New Orleans. Thanks!

I don't own one of those however if it is a window that opens you can easily replace it yourself and I've done that.

Search here on my user name, there is a thread where I show how it attaches.

I believe the glass is proprietary from airstream. What did you go with?

Question

Well, not being too confident with the DIY approach, we got an estimate to replace. The RV shop we contacted in southern Mississippi said we have to replace the entire "unit", and the unit costs $325, with repair costs of $575 for a total of $900. So we now have to decide on whether to proceed. Might get another estimate... Thanks.

I got mine done at the mothership last year for about $550 all told. It was a big living room on a 25 FB.

I’m not sure if it’s the same window but I had the exit window removed from my 2012 27FB to have a door installed instead.

I still have that window. You can have it for free (just cover shipping costs).

PM me if interested.

Good luck!

Yeah unfortuntely the bambi sport windows are a bit different and have to be replaced integral to the window frame. Not as easy to do.... I'm not positive about this, but I'm thinking they are riveted in.... this is not a task for the meek.

Bummer.

Well - that offer holds for anyone who needs a window the size of the one I have.
