67 Tradewind window part needed

I been to Inland RV, and Andy didn't have it.

I need two of the cranks that grab the window clip at the bottom of the window and pull it tightly closed. Actually I need two of the threaded brass parts that the crank handle fits onto and one of the spring steel parts that catch the window clip to pull it back.

I could sure use someone's help in finding these.

I've been cleaning all of the window parts. They had 36 years of crud and rust. Some windows were hard to open because the operator was hard to turn even without the window weight on it. We are also having all windows rescreened using original frames, and we will replace all screen clips. I've already fabricated a new rock guard for the front. This should be it for windows, and then off to the next task. I'm sure glad all the Corning glass was intact.

Good luck on finding these. I have been hunting for 1 1/2 yrs and found 2 on Craigs list last year. I took a chance on risky buy and sent $100 to Texas for them. I lucked out and got them. I need 1 more and will keep your name in case I find an extra.

Hey phoney, Jim C's thread is 6 years old but I see yours is new. Is there any chance you can post a pic of this hardware?
Maybe there was a pic on Craigs List ? Not recalling whether pics are part of that or not, very seldom have ever gone there. If so maybe still there? Can you direct us to which Craigs list and which listing maybe.
I try to save pics of various Airstream hardware parts for some odd reason. My trailer is a 75 so these are not my genre, but you never know what I'll end up with next. Hence I save all pics of all hardwares that are identifiable.

thanks

Thanks,
Isn't $75 a pair $25 cheaper than the ones you got from Texas?

window latches for 66 thru 68 Corning windows

Jim, there is a guy named Kevin Barnes that is in Vancouver BC that had some window latches. He is a forum member so he will surely help you. He has a Craig's list add for a 26 foot Avion if you can't find him on the forum
