Aren’t these modified restorations time consuming stewardships? I’ve resigned myself to the fact that, tho highly functional, my ‘68GT will never be “done”.
I can't believe this was 10 years ago! Mine have also held up just fine. Even the little slit in the screen has not led to disaster.

Vintage trailers are a never-ending labor of love. After 20 years I'm having to redo some things I already did once!

Corded no longer available

I contacted blindschalet about getting corded blinds and they replied fue to a new industry-wide safety regulation implemented across the United States earlier in 2024 standard lift cords are no longer available for blinds or shades.

I'm still very interested in this am wondering how often I actually would raise the blind in stead of just opening them. Thinking out loud.

You have to be kidding me. What have we let happen to this country?

We open and close ours daily.

OK,

I don't think there's room for "mini" I used "micro". That might be a problem if they don't make corded blinds anymore. Maybe Mexico sells them.

The side-lite stack window by the door measures 16" wide. To get length perfect, you might have to remove a few slats to get the fit the way you like.

The dimension of the blinds width I ordered 16" but they sent 16- 1/16" which is OK. Maybe 15- 7/8" is a better size, but I'm not sure.

You have to cut the top rail and a few slats to get blinds out of the way of the opening mechanism.

It's nice not having drapery hanging over the kitchen sink faucet.
