2000 Excella window gasket A/S part # 381665

I have a small water leak around the bedroom rear window on my Excella above the head of the bed. I believe that the window gasket material has compressed where the glass rests against it when closed and this may allow water to seep between the glass and seal in very rainy and windy weather. The problem area would be the upper radiused corners under the window awning housing. I took a thin strip of paper and closed the window down on it and when I attempted pullling the paper, it did not seem to have much resistance. Has anyone replaced this seal and eliminated that problem? I made note of the part number that Airstream provided and it is a "D" shaped black hollow seal that has a pull off tape backing with glue already on it. It is much like weather seal. I have ordered the material but have not received it yet. part # 381665

For proper installation, use 3M super weatherstrip adhesive.

That white tape, is useless as an adhesive.
