1967 22' Safari windows

I am looking at buying a 1967 Safari that needs the large front and back windows replaced, can they still be purchased new or used or can they be cut at a glass shop. Any info would be appreciated. Don't want to buy if the windows can't be obtained.

The original windows had flat Corning tempered glass. You should be able to have a glass shop order you a replacement pane. Search the threads for info on the different upper channels and ways to clean out the old and mount the new glass. The lower clips can be found at Vintage Trailer Supply or Inland.

The other options are Lexan and plexi.
I had a front blow out on the road and made a temporary from hardware store plexi. Later changed it out to Lexan.

on edit: I checked Inland RV. They have front glass but the upper channel need to be modified. Price seems reasonable. I'd call first.

I had mine tinted
They will just need the measurement
Around $40 each

I have owned a 1967 22' safari for almost 40 years. I still take it on the road for both long and short trips.

Tom Nugler is correct when he says the original windows were made of Corning tempered glass, but those windows are not flat. They are curved to fit the profile of the airstream's outer skin. They do not have the aluminum edge on them.

Someone on this forum has stated that someone else was re-manufacturing a few of those windows. Sorry, I don't remember who that was or who was doing the re-manufacturing. Perhaps someone else will remember and be able to provide you with that person and you can contact him direct.

You can have the plastic windows made for replacements, but you need to provide them with the exact curvature needed. It's a pain, but not impossible.

Welcome. Our trailer is a '66 Safari.

Those front and back windows are flat glass. It's the side ones that are curved--and those are available from Inland Andy and probably others.
