1961 Bambi weird uneven window frame

I have a 1961 Bambi. I started my touch up polish today and saw one side of my rear window frame sticks out more than the other. I never noticed that before. When I look at the rear of the trailer from the side, the bottom right rear window frame corner clearly sticks out more than left corner. When closing the window, there is a 3/4 inch gap one the left side once the right side touches the frame. There is also a crease near the right side of the window.

The power company took down some trees by the airstream and I don’t know if the crashed it. It seems like a strong area. Maybe floor failure? I replaced the rear floor a while back. Frame failure? Normal? I’m stumped. Ideas? Opinions?

I am betting it is nothing major. Often these windows, especially those without two inner clasps (ie. only one clasp on one corner to hold it closed) tweak a little bit. On my '61 TradeWind, I am looking into a window with similar characteristics as yours. The rearmost lower corner sticks out when it is clasped with its only clasp, which is on the front lower corner.

I have thought about centering the clasp, or adding another clasp to the rear lower corner so the window can be pulled closed properly.

Post pictures.

Thank you!

It does only have one clasp and it is good to hear you are dealing with the same thing. I will try to get some pictures today. Luckily, I have the clasp on one side and the crank on the other, so it does close alright.

Window Twist

These window frames are kind'a like aluminum Screen frames they tend to twist with heat, age and usage and the corners loosen up going down the road after years of use. There may be small screws that need tightening on each corner. The internal heat causes warpage - Put the extra latch on it and after sitting in the hot summer sun it MAY form back into shape.
