YouTube of Door/Lock retro-fit??

1984 Sovereign 27' - previous owner slammed the door and broke the throw - so had to crawl in via the window and destroy the door latch to get the throw out of the door jam - so now i have a pile of scrape metal and a box from Out Door that is supposed to replace it. I have searched and cannot find any YouTube videos on how to modify the door jam and door. If there are any, would you be kind enough to reply with the link(s)! - We are in Savannah GA and trailer will be heading North to Ocean City, MD in a few weeks - so if there are any shops or folks that can handle the task we would gladly pay for not having to learn a new skill set

I don't have quite the same problem, but the inside door handle and most of its parts are missing from my trailer, so it takes some strong fingernails to draw my bolt back enough to open the door from the inside. I want to install a newer door lock mechanism, but I haven't seen any videos on how to do that. I'm eager to get a pointer or two too.
