We got temporarily stuck inside our 2025 Trade Wind because of this issue with the handle.
Fortunately, a friend who was nearby opened the door from the outside.
I was able to push the pin back up so the interior door latch engages and opens the door, but I'm not sure how the pin dropped down like that and am thus not confident it won't happen again.
The door has felt stiff and difficult to open right from the start.
We had the same problem this past weekend. We've got a 2024 Caravel 19CB that has the same interior door latch. We found a spring on the floor by the entry door and then noticed the pin coming out just like your picture. I removed the 3 phillips head screws and took apart the door handle. I could not figure out how the spring I found integrated into the handle. I also couldn't find a think online or in the manuals.
I was able to get the pin seated back and reinstalled the handle. It works but does not "feel" like it use to. I ordered a new main door inner latch assembly with Deadbolt (part number: 383017-02) from Woodland Airstream. I'll replace my current inner latch with the new one as well as use it to figure out how the old one is supposed to be put together. I figure I'll have a spare then.

I never saw the spring so I was wondering why the door felt so different even after reinstalling the pin. Thanks for that!
I'm taking our Trade Wind to the dealer on Wednesday for a warranty repair of the solar panels, which are detaching from the roof. Airstream sent the z-bars they're now installing at the factory to hold the outside of the panels down. The dealer ordered the same new main door latch assembly and will replace that as part of the warranty repair.
