Top door lock...doesn't move

Visited our 2016 25FB today at the storage lot...not close to home.

Luckily I unlocked the top lock...very stiff movement of key.

After that the key would not even move. I could lock unlock using the inside slide lock but the key...wouldn't budge...and I didn't force it.

I have done the search of this topic. I found fixes for 'escaping' when the handle doesn't work. I found fixes for the pressed on handle. I found 'add-on' door handles so not to use the pressed on version.

Is mine a common occurrence?
Has someone experienced this already? Help please...Thank YOU.

I am going to start with lube spray and then on to deconstruction. I'll add to fixes I found during my search.

I have a new 2020, issue very hard to close the door without slamming. Checked alignment of latch on door with the bolt. Off a bit, loosened bolt and tapped bolt with rubber mallet, tightened bolt and door closes easily, from outside or inside. But, handle lock very hard to open from outside and key hard to move. I used a graphite spray lubricant as it will not collect dust and have major improvement, not perfect but better.

When I did get the lock to work and open the door I actually took the lock out....don't lose /drop/move the keys in it. I noticed some light dirt inside and just blew it out and applied more lube. Slid it all back together and it works great.

Also highly recommend adding a cabinet door handle to the inside of the lock plate. That will ease up on the AS door handle that has been reported to be more fragile.
