Anyone know where to buy replacement locks? The screw threads are stripped out and the lever falls off. Can’t lock it or even close it anymore. I haven’t found a suitable replacement.

Have you tried

https://shoprvlocks.com/

I changed my locks to the tubular cam locks and they have a great measuring sheet that might do the job for you.

Baggage Compartment Locks

These locks from Southco are no longer available. You can try setting the retaining screw in JB Weld. Make sure the cam is oriented correctly. If that doesn't work substitute a 1 1/8 cam lock barrel, reusing the original offset cam. You can't lock it, but it'll stay closed.

Had the same issue - two choices 1) replace with a completely different lock system which would require a "patch" over the existing hole in the door or 2) replace the door with the latest lock used by AS (cost about $200) ...good luck

Or, try this one. If the threads are good on one side cover them with thin Vaseline. Thicken some epoxy and smear clean smooth side and insert. Allow to cure. The epoxy wont adhere to the greased areas so make sure surrounding surfaces are protected. When cured, carefully unscrew. You will have hopefully created new threads. Good luck

You may be able to tap the screw hole to the next bigger size (ie. If the current screw is an 8-32, drill the hole larger and tap it 10-32) then you can install a new screw to hold the latch on.

Thank you!

I I dont want to replace the compartment or rework the entire lock just yet. I think I'll try the epoxy repair first. The screw grabs just a tad but pulls out pretty easily if you mess with it too much so I will try some 3M110 2 part epoxy from work. hopefully that holds I'll let you know out I make out
