Screen Door Rubbing

My screen door is rubbing after Airstream installed a lower screen door guard. Rubbing opposite screen door hinges on the lower side saddle corner. If possible anyone know how screen door is squared, trying to avoid a 130 mile round trip back to Airstream dealership. Thanks

I make no recommendation here, rather share an experience of mine. Several years ago we had a tech adjust an airstream screen door...it was actually hitting the main door latch post when closing.

He opened the screen door, separate from the main door, and pushed on it from the latch side, back toward the hinges, a couple shoves on the latch edge of the door back toward the hinge, at hinge height, really not a hard shove, which slightly bent/shoved the hinges a short amount back, and voila! closed the screen door and it cleared the post wonderfully!

Some times folks will hang on the screen door on the way in, or out, and the pressure will eventually "bend" those screen door hinges a bit, this is what the tech told me, and I think he was likely right in that assessment....not saying that's the case with your door though.

After reading your post I tucked an 1/8 ď plastic paint edging tool under the corner that was rubbing and that was enough to make the correction, works fine now. 😊 Thanks!

Totally Awesome! It's amazing how easily those screen door hinges can get bent out of alignment....and how easy it is to put 'em back where they belong
