how are the hinges with door taken off. Do the screws attaching the hinge have a fixed nut on the inside, or are they held on by a removable nut, or are they screwed directly into the frame?
I have read through the forums for anything relevant but can find nothing about removing the door with hinges on. I read a post about how someone removed the hinges on the door side and replaced the inner skin. Then he had to cut hole in the skin to access the hinge bolts. I'd just as soon take off the door with hinges .I just want to know what to expect. It would be a real drag if there were nuts and they either fell off inside the shell or wouldn't tighten up again.
are you talking about the nuts on the inside of the door? I already know that. I mean the bolts holding the hinge to the body of the trailer. Are there nuts on them that will fall so I will have to remove the inside skin of the trailer itself, not the door.

Imagine looking down the length of the door toward the
floor with your head half in half out the trailer. The shape of the frame
is like the capital F. The door hinge and exterior skin are attached
to the top most horizontal leg of the F, the interior skin is attached
to the lower horizontal leg. The nut is in the space between. It can
and often did drop during the installation of the new door.
it is a Removable nut, no washer even. I did add a good lock washer when
installing.
