Refer Handle Lock Cylinder, Same As Ford

On vintageairstream.com they say that the 50's refer. type door handle lock cylinder is the same as the ones used in 50's ford ignitions called a "Hurd cylinder". I need one to make my door handle functional again. Does anyone out there know where you can get one of these "hurd cylinders"? Are they still available or do I have to hunt for one ouit of an old ford? TIA

Hurd available locally

Call Rick at Key Way Locksmith
(801) 521-0869
854 S Redwood Rd
Salt Lake City, UT 84104

They should have it in stock, or can order it. Around $12 -25 with 2 keys is the going rate

WOW, you guys are amazing. Don, both of those look like they could be the one. Airconditioner, My office is about 5 miles up the road from that locksmith and I didn't even know they existed. Isn't it great that I can submit a question and someone across the U.S. gives me a possible solution only 5 minutes away. I will be there 1st thing Monday morning. I love these forums!
