No keys - can we get our locks re-keyed?

We just bought a vintage Argosy Minuet that came with no keys at all. is it possible to have a locksmith simply re-key the locks for us? Thanks for any input.

Yep. I had keys made at a locksmith recently. I removed the knob & brought it in to be re-keyed. Cost me under $20.

You can also get a new cylinder w/keys, for about the same money from a dealer

To expand on eckybillrae's post, your Minuet has a later style lockset (on the entry door) that can be somewhat fragile and temperamental. I suspect that you may find it easier in the long-run to purchase a lock cylinder with keys from an Airstream parts stocking dealer or service center. Two sources with online presence would include Out-of-Doors-Mart and Inland RV. You can also source compartment lock keys as well as the water fill door key from a parts stocking Airstream dealership -- these locks were common to both Argosy and Airstream products of the era.

Many keys are available and/or tumblers, depending on the year of the trailer.
