Medeco Core?

As an engineer, locksporter, and soon to be AS owner (my 2022 FC 23CB Bunk arrives in 30 days), I'm astounded at the terrible wafer lock assembly AS uses for some of their models and others I've seen what appears to be a simple 4 pin tumbler lock? Just looking at the keys, I suspect the locks will be susceptible to a low-skilled raking attack from even the most basic of lock pickers.

Has anyone tried to pick their locks and, if so, are my suspicions accurate?

Has anyone found a more substantial core like one from Medeco or Multilock to be a fairly easy upgrade?

Hi

There are a number of locks on various parts of the typical AS trailer. The outside bins / access doors get a very basic lock. They all are keyed the same. ( = all trailers have the same key). The purpose is simply to prevent a casual passer by doing this or that. Swapping them out would be doable. You would have to track down a couple of different types.

The lock on the door is a fairly fancy affair. I don't thing swapping it out would be very practical.

Medeco Core?

Contact Proven Industries. I have their lock for my 2021 Globetrotter. I bought the stainless puck lock and it came with a Medeco core. Make sure you order any extra keys at the same time… Medeco restricts the key code info to the original seller.

EDIT: this would be for a hitch lock, not the door locks
