lubricating door latches

Maybe this is a basic question, but I'm a basic (new) Airstreamer. What's the best way to lubricate the door latch on our 2004 Safari? It's been several months and the action is getting kind of rough. The manual calls for paraffin. Do I just smear it around the latch area?
Thanks!

Not sure it is the best, but I have aways just used spray silcon - seems to do the job and no messy grease to get on clothing, attract dirt etc.

Best to use that stuff they call "stupid spray" also known as "silicone spray"

It hurts nothing and makes life a little better when used on Airstream door locks and latches.

I never use any liquid product to lube anything that comes close to our clothing. I use Paraffin Wax. It does not creep the way liquids do.

I use the Boeshield for bikes lubricant since it is easy to apply and I always have some for my bike.
