Interior handle of front door fell off....

Hello all. I have a 2013 Flying Cloud.

The interior handle of the front door decided to fall off. I've managed to take off the plate the protects the inner workings of the assembly and I'm fairly certain where all the parts go.

My problem is with keeping the interior handle attached to the door... I've uploaded a few pics that hopefully detail how it all goes together. I just don't see how the handle is retained. There are no missing screws or retaining clips.

Maybe someone here has experience with this and it's an easy fix. I'm perplexed.

Thanks!

Assembly with no interior handle hardware:

Assembly with interior handle "turn plate":

Interior cover with handle on backside coming through cover to connect to "turn plate":

The same at a different angle:

Just the handle and "turn plate" with no interior cover:

You got my curiosity up so I took my face plate off.

It appears that the plate sits over the square post as shown in your photo, but mine has what appears to be a square washer with maybe a sleeve that is pressed into the round hole. There's a bit of wiggle and I can tell the washer part is larger than the square opening in the plate but while I can almost get a fingernail under it, it doesn't seem to come out easily.

If there's enough space, you may be able to tap the hole and put in a flathead screw to secure the plate to the shaft. Maybe someone else has had experience repairing this or at least you should be able to get replacement parts.

I like to do my own repairs too, but with a 2013, everything like this should be under the 2 year warrantee from AS I would think. Let them put an entire new latch in for you.

Man I was really hoping someone would be willing to open theirs up and take a look for me. Thank you very much. Of course the washer and sleeve are no where to be seen.

Agreed. Unfortunately my dealer is about 300 miles from my AS's home.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Luckily, my dealer is letting me send the pictures I posted here in lieu of hauling it all that way for warranty parts ordering. Woohoo.
