How do I remove door latch on a 1972 Overlander?

Does anyone know how to remove the entry door latch assembly on a 1972 Overlander? I removed the three screws from the inside. But still can't remove latch assembly. The door handle was broken by the thieves that stole my AS. Got it back, but with damage and parts missing.
Thanks

You have to remove the inside handle and locking thumb screw. You have the three inside screws out. There is one more on the side that you can only get to with the door open. I read that you need to pull back the inside skin on the door, but I was able to remove mine without doing that. The lock will be sealed to the door and may be a little tough to get off.

Thanks, Richard, I had removed all four screws, but was afraid to push too hard to avoid damage.

Door latch 1972 Overlander

I also have a 1972 27' Overlander. The exterior door latch is broken. Were you able to find any replacement parts? I have not removed mine yet. I have only recently purchased the unit and am up to my hips in cleaning and checking out everything. Please advise me if you have a source of parts. I haven't done my research yet.

Check Out of Doors Mart or Inland RV. They both have rebuild kits. Will be doing my own soon.

Howard,
I was able to repair it myself. The shaft had broken at the point where a drift pin went thru it. I removed the cam on the shaft and replaced the shaft and re-welded it.
