Help! I want a screen door guard.
Does anyone know where I can get one of those guards for the screen door on my Sovereign. There is one on ebay now with a bid of $66.00. I would think I could get one at Lowes or Home Depot for less than that; however, I can't find what I'm looking for. It's that heavy metal lattise work or heavy hardware cloth type and screws onto the screen door frame to keep the screen from being damaged by "whatever".

Well, it seems more like "if" and not "when" I find one. The one on ebay has the AS logo. I just want a plain one.

So, from my lack of replies, I'm guessing there is no such thing as a screen guard for my trailer door.

Why not make your own. Some perforated metal, flat stock of the same material so it can be welded, weld on some tabs for mounting to your door.
Send me some photos of what you'd like to have along with photos of your door and a few dimensions, maybe I can make it for you.

Try finding a local business that sells and installs stormdoors and gutters and such. I would think that they could help you out. Also contact Sears, they usually have a home improvement department that does these things.
I found one at a local flea market, but that's a hit or miss situation that you can't really count on. Happy hunting.

Juel,
they can be found - I got a set (upper and lower screen) off ebay last summer. Paid 80.00 including shipping - from a guy in the Carolinas. He'd had them in his garage for like 10 years in the original box. If you want to have a set made it's basically U channel aluminum with radiator screen crimped into it. One of us could get you the measurements....

I bought one, plain with no logos from Oasis RV in Tucson. It cost around $80 and had the large lower and smaller upper piece.

I cut down one from a standard 32inch rear screen door with a hacksaw in about 10 minutes. Another 10 minutes with a file to make nice bevels and drill 4 holes and you go to go for less than $15.

If you are handy with aluminum you should be able to make your own. Over the weekend I was at Lowes picking up screen for my 69 Ambassador and they had some different patern sheets you could cut down and rivet to door.
