Door handle issues

Have this door handle on my 1976 sovereign, problem is that I don't have any keys for it. Any ideas on what year this handle was used on ( I believe the door was replaced) and where I might get one. Called a couple of locksmiths and they don't seem to believe they can cut a key for it.

I've never worked on a 70's model so I don't know what is 'normal' for locks in that era, but I did some looking around and this looks similiar, appears yours has a built in deadbolt, so does this one. Is available in chrome, black or white. Might be worth checking into and see if keys can be ordered.

So, had a mobile locksmith come by and look at the door. Turns out that door latch is as common as Chevy suburbans. Locksmith said any rv center would have one. Guess i'm not only new to airstream, I'm also new to rving in general. $35 latter, issue resolved. Now the door will be locked and will not fly open when I'm on the interstate. Guess I just figured since it was an airstream, there would be something more to it.

That is because it is not the lock that came with your trailer when new. You could (and it looks like somebody did) buy a complete used door for what a correct replacement lock costs.
Like your lock guy said, Trimark locks are as common as Suburbans at a rally.

A vintage parts stocking dealer will have them.

When you say the handle is broken. Do you mean it just won't open the door? It could be as simple as a broken roll pin.
