Door Handle '65 GT needed

The PO used a dead bolt to shut the door. I have had that replaced. Apparently a new handle is $495 from the RV repair. Is that my only alternative? Do I just live with that deadbolt? I already have the hole in the door so it's not like I can look better after getting a new handle and assembly.

Vintage Trailer Supply sells a silver deadbolt. (That might look a little better.) They have door handles, too.

Also, if you decide to take the deadbolt out then you could always patch the door. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f381...hes-68104.html

The Bargman L-100 started with the 1966 model Airstreams.

Just another one of those nice parts that faded out in time.

Your lock set looks like mine,I was able to replace with a kwikset using a 5 inch back set for both knob and deadbolt .You can find mine in same forum date 2-14-2013. You will have to do some small trimming to install , mine works great .Let me know if you need any help.
