Door adjustment on 63 Globetrotter?

The door on my '63 has suddenly become difficult to close more so when trying to close it from inside the trailer. I can't see where anything is out of the ordinary. The seals , lock ,and hinges are all in good shape . No rivet issues any where. I figure the thousands of miles and rough roads have moved something but I'm not sure what. the hinges are a simple pin hinge with no adjustment. there is no sag in the hinges. The only adjustment I can see with the hinge is tweaking it with a hammer to move the whole pin . I've watched videos of guys bending doors with a 2x4 but I'm not inclined to go this route yet . Anyone else have this have this issue and a solution

I know this has been discussed at some point, but the first thing is to make sure the rv is level and supported. If the rv is twisted where its sitting, it sometimes wont shut correctly. To get better help, I'm sure the next question will be for pictures and more details about exactly how its not closing properly.

I'm aware of leveling issues. It's sitting inside my shop and is leveled front to back and side to side. I've had the trailer 18 years and am familiar with every aspect of it, everything appears normal. My thought at this point is to see if the hinges are slightly out of vertical alignment

Its certainly possible that the hinges are out of alignment. when I aligned my door during restoration, I dropped a long metal rod down through the top hinge and adjusted the two hinges until that rod dropped straight through both hinges. I did this when I was re-attaching the hinges to the shell. You can probably just put a long level or straight edge against the hinges to make sure one is not out of alignment. If the door did not get caught on something, it seem unlikely that the hinges would move. If it were me, the next thing I would do is pull the hinge pins to see if they were broken or worn badly enough that they needed replacement and then the next thing I would check is to see if the wall was still tight to the floor at the hinge side.

As you noted, there really isn't any 'adjustment' since the door is riveted onto the shell.
My '63 became difficult to get the door to latch, slamming or pushing really hard was the only way it would latch.

I found slop in the latch striker was the problem. A small spring shim the held the striker towards the inner side was missing.

Problem solved

Door problem is solved. The latch striker turned out to be the major cause of the problem. Before our last trip I noticed the strike was loose on the door so I took it off intending to deal with it later. At the time I was busy installing a new range in my trailer. I simply forgot to put the latch strike back on. There is no spring on mine it just screws to the door. I also checked the hinges with a level and one was slightly out of line , a couple gentle taps with a hammer fixed that. Always amazing you can overlook the the most minor thing that causes the major problem.
