Bargman L-200 inside handle fell off

Hi. How is the inside handle on our 68 Tradewind Bargman L-200 held on. Found the whole handle laying on the floor this morning. Slid it back in and everything still works. Still unlocks, etc but pulls right out. Is there a washer or set screw or what can I do to fix. Thanks.

Look at the handle shaft. Is there any indication of a C ring groove at the end that would have held the handle in place If so remove the face plate and you should see how to replace the ring.

If not remove the face plate and investigate thing inside.

My guess is yes. Was there a plate between that grove and the handle side that would have held the handle to the plate if a clip was in that groove?

Did you find any small bits of metal that could have been a C clip when you open it up?

not sure if we're talking about the same thing... but I just replaced my missing handle on the inside, L-200. It has a set screw on the underside, that holds it in place...
hope your repair will be that easy. Have fun, and safe travels!

There's a washer and a hairpin clip that holds the handle on.
