My Bargman L-200 ( long bolt ) has 2 cams...Bargmans schematic only mentions 1 interior cam ???? I believe 1 is for moving the bolt in to open door and the other with the elongated oval in it is for locking functions. The schematic to me is not complete or changes have been made ???? H E L P Someone must have additional / dependable info to properly re-assemble the L-100 / 200 locks.

Can you post pictures of what you have and where you are having problems. I've worked on quite a few of those locks and it takes some patience for sure.

I have an old Bargman L-100/200 lock I would like to sell. The only problem with it was the outside knob would not engage anymore. The insides are all good.

Whew...The Bargman schematic on the parts package DOES NOT show the 2nd cam nor the small spring and ball bearing. I'm pretty good / lucky at getting various devices apart - reassembled but this Bargman L-200 is a challenge. Especially when the manufactures schematic is incomplete. The photos provided show all the parts. 1 cam has 2 holes in it, the other has 2 ears, both have the center square hole. The spring and ball go in the sliding cast part as previously mentioned. NOW what is the proper positioning of the parts when assembling? The exterior knob shaft has a threaded hole in the end? Is a small screw supposed to be in the hole? All input is greatly appreciated. I am hoping BARGMAN may have info on these old part / assembly dilemas. Many Thanx JC

Thanks again Arrowstream & JoePfznik for the information in this post... after procrastinating for the last 3 years(!!! :/) I finally sat down and vowed not to do anything else until I'd rebuilt this lock from the pieces I had on hand.
Between the repair kit diagram and the first picture in this thread that shows the sequence for assembling the lock - well, and a good measure of patience - I was finally able to figure out how to get it working properly.

Bargman l-200 missing second Cam
Sadly my lock, installed on the door of my 1970 Streamline, was missing the latch bolt, springs, and apparently the second cam with the two ears. How it came to be missing these parts while the lock is still mounted I do not know. I ordered a replacement latch off of VTS and got new springs before realizing I am missing the second cam. I used the replacement parts diagram and did not notice the other cam as it is not a replacement part
Is there anyone who is machining replicas or would be willing to email me a 1:1 detailed schematic so that I can have one machined??
My door is much wider than airstream doors and the new locks available on VTS do not fit and/or would require me to cut a new hole in my door which I would very much like to avoid!
Thank you,
Emily
