'73 is closet door latch

H E L P Need info on how to properly replace the door latch. Bought new one from Inland. No instructions on how to assemble, not helpful. then what pop rivet size to use to attached to aluminum door frame. h e l p Thanx in advance Jim C.

What door latch did we provide, since you mention an aluminum frame?

Good Morning, p/n 18693 the black (2) slide parts, the white tab and spring. A better definition...the aluminum " within " the door where the above parts are attached. After finally getting the slide part properly ? assembled cannot get the slide pop riveted to stay in place. H E L P

The bottom black plate using the shim if necessary is riveted in place first.

Then the latch is assembled.
