65 Caravel Door Replacement

Howdy.

I have been looking high and low to find a replacement door and hinge for my 65 Caravel. No luck so far.
I did find a 66 Land Yacht, but waiting on the seller to give measurements.
Does anyone know what years could be interchangable for doors?
I have tried several places without sucess on locating a replacement.
Any advice or resources welcome.

Thanks ahead of time.

Doors are tough to find but occasionally they surface. Consider saving the old one and reskinning it. The frame can be reused if it's not badly damaged.

Airstream used cast aluminum door frames through about 1972. I don't know how extensive the damage is to your door, but there are folks out there that can "rebuild" the cast door frame to fit your trailer. They make a wood template of the curvature of the door to the body, and then cut and weld the frame to that original shape. Once done, they you can reskin the door both inside and out and maybe install a better lock set as well as a dead bolt. Big project, but might get you on the road quicker.

Colin Hyde used to fix doors. Might be worth a try to contact him. Colin spoke about it on his Podcast- the VAP. I think the door can be shipped.
