2005 Safari Exterior Door Window

I'm a newbe and have searched but didn't find an answer to my question so here it is.
We just bought an 05 22' Safari, the door window has aluminum trim holding the window in on the top and bottom as well as a vinyl/rubber moulding on the sides. The top piece of aluminum is gone leaving a gap.
The local dealer says the whole window assembly will need replaced because you cannot replace just the one piece.
Does any one know where I could find this piece or suggestions?

Can you provide a picture of the window and the problem.You may not need to any more than seal or tighten something.

I attached the photos of the window, The first is where the missing piece belongs, next is the bottom piece, looks like someone did some prying on it, and the third is the inside view. The frosted glass is flat, should it be curved?
This is only the tip of the iceburg, the front floor is rotted out and will need replaced as well as other "little" things (Fantastic Fan that opens to the side and a missing vent) that need a lot of TLC...
