1994 Excella Entry Door Not Fitting Tightly
Is there a way to adjust the the entry door to make it fit more tightly.

I'm interested in this also as the door on my '90 Excella is off and doesn't fully seal at the bottom front edge. We've been known to use a 2x4 to aid in the adjustment of a vintage Porsche hood. I tried it (without much vigor admittedly) on my trailer and things didn't apoear to move.

If you carefully put a wood block just at top of where curve starts, you can GINGERLY press the bottom inward with hands place on the hinge or latch side above and below where the bend starts (straddle the board).. Then press in. Take it slowly

Since posting the question, I discovered a video on entry door adjustment. The adjustment is made using wood blocks as stated in one of the replies. However, if the gap is greater than one eight inch, the inner skin should be removed to avoid damaging the door.

You may have to go further than what the video presents. If that is the case this is what I did. I made a wooden frame the match the contour of the door frame. Then while adding thin strips of wood to that frame I rebent the door. The reason you have to add the strips is you have to over bend metal in order for it to bend to the desired shape. The strips can be added where movement is needed and plained to the contour you want.
Just wacking the door with a mallet against a block of wood you may bend the door in the wrong place

I'm from West Orange transplanted to SC. What about all the talk regarding removing the interior skin? Is that really necessary? I'm working with a forty one year old Argosy 24'

I used your method of re-shaping the door on my 74 Trade wind , It took two goes but now fits nicely. Seems no matter what you do they never really fit snug. Do you know of any Cam latches I could use similar to the window latches inside?
I will now religiously check to make sure the door is locked!

My door was out almost 1/2 in at the bottom as a result of flying open at road speeds. I did not remove the door inner skin when reshaping it.

I have a 91 32' Excella with a Exterior Door not sealing at the top and bottom. Will be posting the results from the pictures clamping on jig. thank you HowieE

OK so I did make a jig from the frame of the door. then clamping the top and the bottom of the door using a few pieces of 1/8" ply as shims at the center work. I kept adding a shim at the center of the door till I got the fit i needed. worked flawlessly.
