Laura--it's great to hear you and your dad will be helping out in Bozeman. That should be a lot of fun!
I'm getting ready to outfit the Safari with 2m/440 capability. We'll check into the daily nets and definitely plan on dropping by the club station to say 'Hi'. WB8ARC if I remember correctly, right?

Callsign for Michael
Michael--if you became a ham you could have a cool callsign like "N4ART" or something similar! As much as you're on the road. You should be a ham!!
Laura--I'm also planning on an HF station sometime in the future for the trailer. I'd like to remount my screwdriver antenna on the hitch and use it from the tow vehicle while driving/trailer when stationary. Maybe I'll get it done this year...probably not before the rally.

Checkout the multiband....10,15,20 and 40 meter antenna that my brother (N3WS) installed after he bought the AS (1981 Excella II) when it was new.
apparently he was at a HAM convention in Dayton back then and someone had designed and installed it on his own, so Walt had one made for 'Ole81' .
I understand that the designer had written an article for QST back in the early '80.

Hey, anybody do any 75 meter SSB phone anymore? I used to live on there when I was a teenager and in my early 20's. Had a Heath HW12 and 3-400Z Linear Amp. Anybody remember those???

Ducie sounds like a duesy of a DXpedition. The link from ARRL says they're already on the way. If you're going (or gone), Laura, have a great time!
Yes, Pick, I think there are still a few ragchewers on 75.
Bob, that antenna looks like a Hustler vertical.

HF Frequencies?
Are there any planned HF frequencies at Bozeman? If so please post them and any times if there is a net.

If I'm not mistaken, they usually use the "RV Service Net" frequencies and skeds for HF.

No Dallas, I wish I was going, I have been wanting to go on a DXpedition SO BAD!!! I was going to go on an all girls one, but was then cancelled. I just thought I would tell everyone that Ducie will be on the air starting around the 11-12 of this month, I know Im going to work them both modes if I can!! Its a good one to get!
