How to mount WeBoost 65 RV antenna pole
We purchased a WeBoost 65 RV cell phone booster. The booster works fine but because of the curved sides on the airstream the pole supports pre-attached too the antenna pole won't work with the brackets intended to work with the supports.
Any ideas on how to best provide the necessary pole support in this situation? Me standing outside and holding it doesn't seem like a great solution 😜
Thank you for any ideas.

My first thought is a suction cup rig with an outrigger. Awning brackets might be another attach point.

Something like this. http://www.uncommonflagpoles.com/alu...drv-stand.html I’ve got this one from when I had my motorhome works well for either the pole that came with the RV65 or a regular flag pole. I generally use the RV65 pole and put a pulley on the top so that I run up a flag.

2x this plus using 1/2 inch electrical piping (inside 1 inch electrical piping if you want more height).

I made a mast out of black abs pipe from the big box store. I glued screw on fittings so that the mast can be taken apart into smaller pieces for storage. The mast, when put together, is 13 feet tall. The bottom of the mast slips over a flag pole holder that is held in place on the ground under the tongue jack. The wire for the booster is run up through the mast and comes out on top in a hole I drilled into the side. It works well.

I was going to set up one of Weboost's wall mounts above the midline before it starts to curve and put the bottom into a flagpole mount like what ghaynes755 suggested. The problem is that they probably need an absolute vertical mount to slip in properly so what if you found a T shaped piece of material and mount that to the wall mount, then mount the pole to the end of the T using a round band to wrap around the pole and attach so that it could pivot on the end of the T. Now, if you can build your own flag pole mount that would be even better because the cost looks unreasonable for what they are...
Now to control longitudinal strain I'd think of some stays at angles away from the pole to a spot on the side to help reduce the twist on the wall mount in high winds. I was thinking of putting mine between the fore and aft awnings on the street side and use the awning mounts to help stabilize it. I'd run the wire in through the lower refrigerator opening and to where ever you have the receiver.

I like painter's poles. Not the cheap twist lock, but the button lock.
They last forever, go up about 15', and the top fitting can be MacGyvered into an antenna mount.
If you want taller, and spendy, look into Hastings "Hot Sticks". They're designed for electrical workers to shut breakers on transformers.
Fiberglass, button lock. Various lengths. (Telepole II)

Here is a thread on what I built. Read to the end to see the final solution. It works very well and is simple to make and setup. No holes were drilled when making this movie!

I tried to use the two plastic stick-on pole supports but because of the curved surface, the upper one delaminated.
Instead I use a luggage strap to tie the pole to the (retracted) awning support on the driver's side near the front of the trailer. I still use the lower plastic support but the strain of the wind goes almost entirely to the strap. I have a FB trailer so the booster is located in the cabinet where the DVD player is located at the rear of the trailer. I use the satellite connections on the driver's side of the trailer to connect the antenna cable to the booster inside. The satellite cable comes out in the same rear cabinet.
It is also important to secure the base of the pole with tent stakes.

I've seen WBCCI A-frame flag mounts used for this purpose.
I don't have flags so I would probably fabricate a tube to bolt/clamp to the A-frame and let the mast drop through to the ground.

My solution is to use an omnidirectional antenna permanently attached on the roof with VHB tape and a simple aluminum bracket. The system is permanently wired and all I have to do to use it is to turn on the power switch.
The directional antenna that came with your kit will have a slight advantage but only when directed towards the cell tower. How to find the optimal direction is difficult. Otherwise, the omnidirectional is just as effective. I did try to use one, and only once was I ever able to get a better reception with the directional antenna. Otherwise, the omnidirectional did just as good and with much less fussing.
I think the antenna that came in your kit is 75 Ohm, so the 304421 is what you want

Paint pole in this
I made a bracket from a paint roller handle and mounted the antenna on an extendable paint handle. This is what I made to stand it in. It is currently under a stabilizer foot and can be used under a tire also. I like the ability to place it anywhere on the campsite.
I have no idea why my picture stays inverted.

I was just asking this question and GMFL (Ronnie) sent me what he uses. He uses the ground pole mount along with a marine vacuum suction cup. The cup has a d-ring that you tie the mast off with. You openly need one. This thing ain’t going nowhere and its not permanent.

Thank you all for the great ideas, I should be able to come up with a great solution from these.

I have used this for a couple of trips:
https://www.technorv.com/suction-cup-antenna-mount-1/
I am not sure this is the best solution as the vacuum is not adjustable. Although you cannot see it, I can rub my hand across the area where the techorv suction cup was mounted and it is slightly raised.
I am not sure what the long term effect will be and would be interested in opinions as to whether i should find another option. I would not like to have a big wart on the side of our new Sheppie Shak.

If you plan on attaching your pole to a roadside or rear awning arm, you may want to consider replacing the arm to bracket bolt with a 1/4” stainless eyebolt to provide an attachment point.
Note, the arm is under tension at the awning. To keep it from violently flipping up, you will need to simultaneously insert the eyebolt while removing the bolt.

The people on this forum find some great resoources...thank you.

Yep - use 2 of these - locks on solid - works great

Mounting for Weboost
I purchased a stainless steel handle from West Marine. Then mounted it to the refrigerator vent and the antenna to that.
