WiFi set up

I installed a Poynting 5-in-1 Cellular, WIFI & GPS RV and Marine Roof Antenna (https://www.mobilemusthave.com/Poynt...enna_p_60.html) on my 27FB International. I routed the cable through the refrigerator vent as seen on Journeymanís video (https://youtu.be/JRfDtxj8Fc8). This required removing the refrigerator, which I did using another of Journeymanís videos (https://youtu.be/WQDBur7ItHo).

While the fridge was out, I also installed 2 cooling fans (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MSGZJ46) to help keep the fridge a reasonable temperature during the heat (https://www.airforums.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=209145). Finally, I hardwired my Pepwave MAX BR1 MK2 Router with Cat 6 LTE Advanced Modem (https://www.mobilemusthave.com/Pepwa...odem_p_19.html) into the 12v DC fridge power. I did this in order to power my router without having to permanently take up one of my outlets. However, you can run the Pepwave on an AC power adapter that plugs into the wall.

So far Iím very pleased with the Poynting/Pepwave w/unlimited data SIM card set-up (https://www.mobilemusthave.com/Unlim...lans_c_12.html). Even without the SIM card (using only the free campground wifi) I was satisfied with the connection/speeds I was getting with the antenna/router set up. I opted to get the SIM card unlimited data plan because I needed a reliable connection and all campgrounds arenít able to provide that with their wifi.

This was an all-day project for me and required a lot of research using the AirForums and YouTube. While it took some time and research, this project is very doable with anyone that can use some tools, and follow directions. The install of the antenna/modem has enabled me to telework from the trailer without having to worry about unreliable campground wifi. This is critical for me since I live full time in my Airstream and have been teleworking since COVID-19 became a pandemic.

Let me know if you have any questions on the installs or the products!

Hey-just upgraded (?) to 2020 Classic 33. Been working with Airstream 2 days on connectivity. They are super nice, but still canít use the WiFi in the camper. At one point I saw a pdf that someone had done about solving the issue. Canít find it now. Then saw this post. Anybody willing to walk me thru working out the issues so I can use WiFi and cell enhancement to work from the road? Simple but effective is best for me. Thoughts? And Thanks!

I think you have to login into the routerís IP address to set up WiFi as WAN. There was a very simple guide included with my Pepwave that gave me instructions on how to do that. I also used MobileMustHave.com Ďs training. If you go to their website and call them they will be able to set you up with the training. However, if Airstream provided the router, I would think they would be able to assist you in setting it up.
