What is this coax connector used for?

I’ve been going through posts here trying to figure out whether the difficulty I’m having keeping my Dish stream working reliably. I get connectivity between my Dish Playmaker and Dish Wally by connecting coax from the dish to the single coax connector under a Furion cover on the outside of my 2012 25’EB, then coax from the Cable/Sat In connector inside the trailer to the Wally, then HDMI to the TV, but not reliably. I’ve been trying to figure out what my problem might be.

I’ve had a lot of hand holding from Dish. They’re very helpful and get me going again. But then sometime during my viewing, Ill lose connectivity. So I’m trying to trouble shoot that. (Ideas welcome)

In the middle of all this I realized that I don’t know what the single coax connector on the panel in the coach that also has a 12v connector does. Can someone please tell me? I’ve seen references to similar panels that also have a boost switch and an LED status light, but mine doesn’t have that. What do it do?

Not sure about the coax connector and 12 volt power outlet, but just make sure that your signal booster is off when you are using DISH. I actually disconnected the coax that leads to the Cable input on the outside of the trailer off of the booster, drilled a hole in that plate, mounted that cable to a double male connector and connect my VIP 211Z to that connector and have not had any more issues.

Where,, then, is the booster switch?

As I noted in my OP, I don’t seem to have the booster switch in the same place as others have described, on the panel with 12v and cable connector.

That being the case, where would I find a signal booster to turn off?
