Starlink Mini $150 off, now $449 until 12/8

I was hoping they might knock it down to the V3 price at $349, so I have to ponder some more. https://www.starlink.com/roam

In some places outside the US it's $165, so seems like they have some room to move. But this pricing seems to be linked to available capacity. A trip to Costa Rica this winter doesn't sound so bad, but guessing they might figure that out.

One of the guys here bought one from Home Depot recently. The original price was $500, on sale for $450. He's retired military, so he got an additional discount, so the price was $400. Two days later it was advertised for $300, so he called and asked about a refund. Nope. Bring it back and we'll sell you a new one for $300. So he did.

At first I was surprised by this discount given several big markets in the US are now waitlisted. But then I remembered you can't get a residential plan with the Mini, just the expensive roam plans, so it does make sense.

Also Starlink is now selling dishes at retail in markets that are waitlisted. On one of the Facebook Starlink groups some fella in Seattle reported he bought a dish at Home Depot then went home to register it only to find out he was wait listed.

I don’t think those prices are correct for Starlink Mini. That sounds like maybe an older basic Starlink kit. Home Depot currently shows the Mini on sale for $450, marked down from the regular price of $600.
