My best option is actually not a printer

I am not sure if this will be helpful for those who do a lot of printing, copying or scanning but there is a little known option on the iPhone that works great: Go to the Notes icon; open as if you are going to type a new note; you will see several icons for edit options; hit the Camera icon...from there you can scan a document or take a photo and email or text it directly to where ever you want it to go. Easy. You can create a document on your computer or tablet and scan or photo it directly using the Notes icon - no paper or ink needed. Hope this helps some. (I have an iPhone X so I do not know if older phones have this option)

Xs 2 on the ip110 and the iPhone/iPod scanning feature. Both good for low volume occasional use.

Printer for traveling

Have used a Canon Pixma 100 on the road for 8 years! On my second one, a Pixma 110. Tough as nails... carry it in an old soft briefcase. It is an ink hog though so stock up with cartridges and stick with Canon proprietary ink. The off brands are lousy. Can't recommend the Canon more highly.

We do, it's quite handy, an Epson WF-100. My wife connects her laptop and I my Imac. All wirelessly. We also carry a small Brother document scanner.

electronic advantages

For years, I too had all this stuff I just had to have with me. I discovered no premium to my life having all this 'stuff' with me, I was too busy seeing America to mess with it. I encourage you to try phone, tablet, or laptop capabilities and apps available, or if that 'document' cannot be anything but paper, then the thumbdrive or bluetooth at an office supply or other print facility.
Having to find a dedicated spot for something as well as all needed support material was just too much when I realized the very few times it was actually used.

We have had good experience with Staples printing service whilst on the road. Just swing by with a memory stick.

HP Deskjet 1000

We have the HP Deskjet 1000 which is better than all I've seen. It prints only, does not make copies, which helps its size. Since this is several years old, maybe what you are looking at is similar. HP is my preferred brand for sure.

printer for traveling

i want to warn those out there considering the so called eco tank or mega tank printers. i have a canon mega tank that has seen very little use for less than 1 year that has stopped working. this seems to be due to a secret internal counter that stops the machine from working. it is not fixable by the user. canon even states that the repair from an authorized place can exceed the cost of a new machine.

the epson eco tank machines are probably just as bad.

amazon reviews confirm these problems.

please don't be fooled and think this is a better solution like i did.

i just go to to the ups store now to print my needed things.

they don't even charge me due to the fact i am a box customer.

We’ve been using the HP Officejet 100, very portable, connects with bluetooth. Handy little printer. Not sure if they still make it; ours is several years old but it has served us well

BINGO! Do not continue to load your RV down with more stuff,,,,,anyplace you stop for fuel or food will be near an office supply store, truck stop, real estate office, hotel/motel where you can hand someone a thumb drive and get hard copies made for a few bucks. The world is changing fast - keep up with it. You would not carry a Fax machine with you when traveling!

HP OfficeJet 250 All-in-One Mobile Printer, (CZ992A)
it is CDN $ 270 on Amazon

any thoughts or alternate suggestions?
I have been using a HP Officejet 150 for perhaps 4 years. I am 100% happy with it. A charge on the battery lasts forever.

Does any carry a small portable printer in their AS?

We just completed a 12,332 mile trip from West Coast to South Eastern states. Needed a printer for several reasons. Stopped at Costco and picked up a HP Office Jet all-in-one in Arlington, TX. It has WiFi, scan, email, phone, etc. capabilities. Cost was listed at $119.99, with discounts, I walked out paying a total of $75.79. Size was not smallest, but it had all the functions we need while on the road for over 3 months.

we just rcvd the HP OfficeJet 250 All-in-One Mobile Printer
nice and small

the android WIFI app is a BIT BUGGY. the HP site claims no support for Android . but there is a link for the Android version. i guess that hp staff don't talk to each other

the print quality is excellent in BW and colour
the epson model had duplex and a flat bed scanner and a less expensive ink fill system.

we opted for small size over the other would be nice features
the ink cost is not a concern as this is not a everyday mainline printer for us

Good morning. I pull at 17' Caravel, so space is a premium. But, I also need to be able to print, copy and scan. I chose the HP250 all in one wireless and mobile printer, for its functionality and nimble size. When charged, the battery pack will allow a days worth of constant use, so it's a good choice for boondocking and an outdoor picnic table "office:..assuming you gave the wireless connection! The dimensions are approximately 15 w X 8 D X 4 H, so it fits perfectly into a backpack or on a slide out tucked under the gaucho. I got a good price on Amazon. Let us know what you decide!

I have given up on printers. They're always running out of ink. Now I put the document onto a memory stuck and go to Office Depot or Staples and use theirs. It's 10 -12 cents a page but cheaper and better than using your own.

hp officejet 250 mobile all-in-one printer

The best small printer on the market, been using it for 2 years with no issues at all. Stores in the drawer next to the door of our 27FB. Pull it out of the drawer and set it on our ottoman to use. Easy Peasy

Thumbs up for the HP250.

I travel with it using the CASE MATIX that was configured for this printer.

Thanks for the case tip, Steamy1.

Q for the fellow HP 250 devotees: do you bring the bring into your TV when you are on the move or do you leave it in the trailer. Wondering about the shake, rattle, roll effect...

Just remember any printer you buy will be obsolete in just a couple of years. So don't spend a bunch of money on one. They quit making the ink for them or the paper feed will break.

HP printer from Costco jet printer, scanner and the rest

Check out the printers at Costco. I put mine in the closet and it is ready anytime I am. It runs with blue-tooth. It is a Ofc Pro 9010. Not sure they have that model now but everything is priced right and the return policy is great!
