I carry a Canon IP110. Packs very small, does a good job, and has an optional battery.

I'd recco ordering a stash of the ink cartridges because they don't last as long as the big desktop types - & a spare print head, because they can go bad/dry out between uses & are sometimes hard to source when you really need one now. Don't ask!
Cheers!

The Canon Pixma iP110 is the one we travel with. It is very small. We store it in the space above the DBD/BluRay player, which is in the cabinet above the dinette closest to the door (rear of trailer).

I love my HP OfficeJet 250.
which is the same one you asked about.
I love it! I work full-time and we are most-timers (8+ months per year).
The facts that it is wireless and has a laptop battery make it really convenient.

I carried a multi function HP for a while when I had a position in the WB club. The very few times I needed a printed page, there was an issue with the ink cartridge. There are numerous places you can get a page printed including many campground offices, office max, fed ex store, ups store, staples, costco, cvs and many more.
Ditched the printer several years ago and never looked back.

Sure, you’d like to ditch your printer but what if you need to sign a form and send it in?
If you have Adobe Acrobat, not acrobat reader, but Adobe Acrobat, you can either digitally sign the document, or using a mouse or trackpad put your actual signature on the document, save it, and either send it as an attachment in an email or text, or use an online fax program to fax the file back - All without ever having to use a printer, waste paper or ink! It’s way faster than snail mail, and you can digitally track the document, keep records yourself and also records of exactly when it was sent and if you so configure the document, also be notified of exactly when it was received and when it was opened.
I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve had to actually print something out on paper in the last two or three years, and for that there’s always FedEx office or any number of places you can go to have that one thing printed out. I can even file my taxes online without ever having the need to print something out if I do it correctly.

Printers
I purchased an all-in-one HP Office Jet 5258 at Costco, six months ago for less than $50. (That is less than the price of the ink.) It may be used both on the trailer and at home.
Consumers Reports had an article some time ago: leaving the printer on in the stand-by mode saves ink.

Small Printer for AS
I've had the HP OfficeJet 100 for years, with no problems at all.
Started using it on jobsite builds, and for three years it has been in the Airstream. Fits nicely next to the AV system-CD player above the settee.
Wireless printing only, bluetooth, about ten sheets of paper at a time. Fell out of the cabinet once and hit the floor with no damage. Also runs off internal battery if needed. No scanning.
The #100 was discontinued a couple years back, and I think the one you mentioned is the replacement version. Looks the same. Mine still works!

Have had the HP Office Jet 250 for three years and it has been invaluable. I manage a trust for a great aunt and her final expenses, investment and insurance payouts and distributions to 15 beneficiaries after her death last year. Just completed her final tax return [final returns have to be mailed to the IRS and State.] Could never have accomplished that without the HP while on the road 3/4 time. Use up one cartridge each of the black/color high capacity cartridges [about double the pages per cartridge] about every 9mos.

We also travel with the Canon PIXMA 110. Love it.
You might want to consider the updated version recently introduced PIXMA TR150.

After I posted yesterday, I got an email from Canon on their newest TR150 portable model -
https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/c...riid=139838245
You might want to wait for a sale on this one, or look for a clearance price on it's predecessor.
This has WiFi - but my older i80 [correction] doesn't, it does have IR which works just fine for wireless printing while working on a desk in a hotel room etc., or in a trailer - but it is line of sight, like your TV remote. When it dies, I'd probably update to something like this.
PS - Don't forget to also get the extra cradle & battery kit, so you can charge one while printing with the other, as well as the spare print head & extra ink cartridges (tanks), as I noted before.
The case or some sort of box as mentioned in a prior post is a good idea (I use my rolling Laptop bag, since I mostly travel by air with it for conferences & biz meetings).
Cheers!
Tom

We carry an Epson XP-430 ink-jet printer which we got at Staples for about $50 CAN. If you leave it in the trailer for long storage periods, then you will need to run the "Clean the Print-heads" routine from the Maintenance menu before using. We've had it 2 years and no issues so far.

Used to carry a printer but it wasn't worth it. Now we just pull into a Staples or Office Max once in a while to print stuff. You can print from USB or email or Google Drive. It doesn't cost too much and you don't have to lug around a printer.

I also have the Cannon Pixma iP110 and like it a lot. We have twin beds in the front of the trailer and keep it on the table between the beds. Its primary purpose is to print fishing licenses that are purchased online. A nice secondary use is to print pictures and give them to people who have helped us or that we have gotten on well with in the campground or during travel. It makes a nice "Thank you" I am amazed it has never fallen off the table, and it just seems to work whenever I need it.

Just completed my search for the same thing, small footprint all-in-one printer/scanner. After poking around Office Depot settled on HP OfficeJet 5200 All-in-One Printer $86.00 (USD) (Will not go into my rant on cost of ink). Wireless printing from your smart phone, wireless scan too.

Second vote for HP3755 (slightly differing model numbers for different colours). We use the same printer at home and on the road and just shuffle the cartridges back and forth to use them up (doesn’t take long) before they dry out. The single page scanner is a minor inconvenience but a full flat bed scanner would naturally take up more room.
