Installed Directv with a Winegard Carryout G2 portable dish in my 2012. Works fine. My question is about wiring runs and the how Airstream decided where to put the hookups, which obviously leaves alot to be desired.
The Winegard is hooked to the Sat/Cable outside outlet. It also needs 12dc power, which I do not have on the outside. So I can either run it in through a window, or (as I've chosen) plug it into my tow vehicle. Then the Sat cable inside isn't run up into the above dinette cabinet where all the gear resides, it's down near the floor under the table. So I have drill a hole in the back near the rear window, and run an ugly cable down to the hookup.
Any suggestions for a cleaner hookup? What year did AS finally start running the coax cable up into the cabinet?
Thanks.
