Replacement for Pepwave?

My Pepwave Max Transit LTEA (MAX-TST-LTEA-R-T) is broken and I need to replace it. I am having a hard time figuring out what is a suitable replacement for this, the model I have is no longer in production/out of stock. I utilize the dual SIM slots. I would like to buy this new as I have heard issues with getting used ones online - do these need to be registered with Pepwave? Or are used units still attached to a cellular provider and will not work?
