I wonder if Airstream will offer this as a factory-installed option or perhaps at Jackson Center. Has anyone had this installed yet?

.
Airstream connect was installed by the dealership we bought a eight month old Tommy Bahama 27 footer it works great fine we remove the AT&T SIM card and put a Verizon Sim card in. Have a great Wi-Fi will probably put Alexa in the trailer so everything is set up like at home the only thing is with all carriers they don’t give you a lot of data like you get it home there is two slots so you could have AT&T and you could have Verizon if you wanted.

Yes, but you'd need access to the routers admin panel to pick and choose which carrier is active...and no one has access to it except airstream.

I believe if you do a hard reset you'll have access.

Correct, but as a note, I was told once you reset it and go down that rabbit hole, AS loses remote access to it (that may not matter to some). I'm not sure how that plays out in the Classics which all have the CZone control that runs through it.. the 2nd SIM card is for Czone.
Someone who has it can chime in....so there is a pro/con here I would think....but am not 100% sure.

Which router did you choose? I was looking at the Archer AX50. How does it connect to Pepwave? Use LAN/WAN Ethernet jack to one of the LAN jacks on router? Thanks.

I reset my pepwave as I was having connectivity issues having to reset it all the time. I don't have the Czone. Painless process and I have more control now. There is a lot of capability built in and now I can access it.
I'm using the TPLink AX1500. Wifi 6 and works great.

Does the airstream app still connect to the modem after the reset?
One of the main advantages pre-hard reset is the ability to "track" the trailer via the app if needed.
But overall, it makes sense to be able to access the router admin panel.

No the app no longer connects and my modem is still registered as an Airstream modem with pep wave. I'm sure I could call them and get it released it just really doesn't affect me as I can locally log into the router/modem and do everything I need. I have also found the connected app at least for my trailer to be completely useless.
As far as finding where my trailer is I've been camping for over 20 years and that has never been a concern of mine. If you are concerned about that drop a pin on whatever map app that you use or use a parking app and mark that as your location of where you parked.

I think the concern is more along the lines of finding your trailer if someone steals it.

I'd rather have the insurance money than the remnants of my stolen trailer.

Airstream Connect Modem Info?
We recently purchased a 2021 Interstate GL and the dealer installed Airstream Connect. However, we foolishly tossed the box on which the various details were probably listed such as Serial Number , IMEI, etc which I need to connect to AT&T. Anyone have any ideas as to where that information may be located or I guess I have to wait till tomorrow to contact the service dept and hope they kept the info on any of their records? Thanks for any help.

I think everything you need is listed on the bottom of the Airstream connected modem. Just unscrew it disconnect it and you should see what you need. Shouldn't be too difficult.

If I recall there should be a QR code which will connect the app and give it all the info needed. Might be wrong it’s been a year.
