Do I need to service my Antenna

I am working my way from the front of the roof towards back to reseal our 1999 Safari. We have some leaking issues so I started with the front fan. Today i cleaned the years of goop from around the antenna. It is in working order and I could just reseal the base and keep moving. But with the base exposed is there something we should do before the reseal?

Google Winegard Sensar and download the manual. There are some periodic lubrication recommendations.
