Yes, the switch controls the amplifier for "air" reception for all "cable" outlets in the AS. The two that dave refers to, should have a jumper between them when no satellite receiver is installed. They simply provide a "break" in the whole house cable runs to insert the receiver. Whena receiver is installed, you would still use the wall amplifier switch to move between air reception and satellite/cable reception.
