My '02 Classic has the original Winegard TV antenna. It has some wear and is in need of replacement or repairs. Has anyone replaced the exterior gear / interior crank parts? It seems that would be easier than the whole unit since it's only the up / down mechanism that is bad. I have no leaks so hesitate to replace the entire unit.
There is a note around the crank to lubricate twice per year.
Where do I lubricate?
What type of grease/oil?

Where do you spray the silicone?
Will it be obvious?

Your antenna is likely different from my old one. But mine actually has a label and a plastic access plug. But you could just go up there while you have someone rotate and raise and lower it. Look for where two surfaces move past one another.
I'm sure my antenna is identical to yours.
It's the same antenna as every RV- or most- have.
If I climb up there I may see the access plug.
