What's the cable for?

Our 2011 Flying Cloud 30' has a cable and plug located in the cabinet over the sofa, next to the dvd/audio system. i assumed that it was a connection for an iPod or similar audio player, but none of the input settings in the player pick it up any signal. There is an input outlet on the front of the player that works fine as an iPod input. Anyone know what the cable is for? Thanks, Jack

check the manual to be sure but it might be for a mic to do karaoke.

I think that's a connection for headphones.Try plugging a pair of earbuds in and see if you hear anything.

Karaoke? Hum. Had not thought of that. I'll haul the equipment over to give it a try. I'll let you know. Thanks.
