Wall mount with strap for lcd tv
hello,
Does anybody know who makes a flat screen tv mount that has the strap to secure TV when traveling? 19 or 20" flat screen
Have 03 31' classic and want to mount Flat Screen on wall beside microwave.
Have seen pictures of mt and can't remember where.
Thanks
Bob

Our 2007 25' Safari with the Audio/Video Upgrade with 15" TV had the TV mounted on a "LCD Screen Adjustable Wall/Cabinet Mount" by Peerles Industries. The mount was rated for LCD TV sizes from 10" to 20" and a max load of 25lb. There were six model numbers in the literature that came with the trailer so I don't know the exact model we have. They are located at 3215 W North Ave, Melrose Park, IL, 60160. Phone 800-729-0307, website Peerless Industries: The Leader in Audio Visual Mounting Solutions.

The arm was purchased from Peerless. The Strap and mounting plate are available through Airstream parts.

TV Mount
The swing mount at Wal-Mart is 89.00 and doesn't need a strap as the arm adjustment nob's tighten enough too hold my 32" & my 15" while on the road.
The Peerless from Airstream is like 500.00.

I also have a '98 Excella and mounted my fully articulating mount from WalMart on wall adjacent to the microwave. One thumbscrew and the TV goes on/off. I wouldn't travel with the TV mounted. After several hours on the road, I'm never surprised what has come loose when I open the door. Shower door fallen off, closet door latches broken, mirror clips broken...... It's too easy to take the TV down while travelling.

I am picking up my new 2007 Airstream Safari 20 SE next week. I does not have the audio visual up grade so we bought the Peerless mount and a 19 inch Toshiba TV/DVD player to mount. Originally I wanted to mount it on the trailer wall where the factory mounts usually mount. The dealer told me that it cannot be mounted there because there is no support there if the A/v package was not ordered from the factory. So we plan to mount it on the end of the cabinet that is above the refrigerator. Does anyone see any problem with this? Is the cabinet strong enough?
Thanks for the help.

I bought an arm mount from Best Buy rated up to 25 lbs. and saw the strap to hold it against the wall at Out-of-Doors Mart MORE Airstream Parts on-line than anyone!!! And we accept PayPal. I am planning on purchasing this week and it looks like it will work fine, much cheaper than buying from Airstream.

I have picked up the 2007 Safari SE 20 from Bates in Dover Florida and they mounted on the end of the cabinet above the refrigerator as I described in my previous post. It looks and works great. I looked at the mount at Best Buy, but the Peerless is a much better mount. Although the Peerless costs twice as much (about $140) is comes in brushed silver and looks good with the aluminum interior of my trailer and is more substantial and adjustable.
By the way the people at Bates were great especially, Teresa the store manager, Lisa in parts, Jerry in Service and Allyon (sp?) in Service.
